The brief
An engraved build plate is a one-off: it only comes into being after the order, and a layout mistake cannot be undone once the laser has run. On top of that comes the variety of devices — every manufacturer has its own dimensions. So customers had to see to the millimetre what they would get, while the path there could not presuppose any design knowledge.
The solution
A configurator that automatically turns uploaded logos into an engravable vector file — whether PNG, JPG or SVG — and shows the result live in 3D on the chosen build plate. Position, size and rotation can be set to within 0.05 mm, and a free mode covers plates customers already own. Payment runs through Stripe; an attached affiliate programme settles commissions transparently via personal codes.
Key pieces
Live 3D configurator
The logo sits on a model of the actual build plate in real time, rotatable and true to scale. What you see is what gets engraved — and with an irreversible product, that is exactly what removes the fear of buying.
Automatic vector conversion
Uploaded raster images are translated into clean engraving paths on the server. Customers simply upload their logo instead of having to supply a file format hardly anyone has.
Device variety under control
All common manufacturers are covered, plus a free mode for plates customers bring themselves. New printer models are added continuously without rebuilding the configurator.
An affiliate programme that really settles
Personal affiliate codes, an optional discount for the community, traceable attribution of every order and monthly payouts — built for an audience that lives on YouTube and in communities.
Checkout and fulfilment
Stripe for payment, then a continuous path from engraving through quality control to DHL dispatch — including the status updates customers would otherwise have to ask for by email.
